Chloe (R) (2010)  A flirtatious husband, a suspicious wife and a beautiful young call-girl combine to create a steamy triangle that crosses the line of traditional relationships. David Stewart (Liam Neeson), a popular college professor, is always available for his students, particularly the young women. His insecure wife, Catherine (Julianne Moore), a busy physician, succumbs to jealous thoughts when David misses his surprise birthday party. Evidence points to infidelity and the incident alienates the seemingly perfect, affluent couple.

To determine if her husband is being faithful, Catherine makes a shady deal with a young prostitute, Chloe (Amanda Seyfried), who she hires to seduce David and report all of the lurid details of their romantic encounters. After several rather graphic descriptions of their love-making and escapades, Catherine becomes increasing hooked on the steamy details as revealed to her by Chloe. In attempting to conclude her relationship with Chloe, Catherine finds that it not easy to get rid of the sexual spy. It seems more is in play that just the business relationship between the two women.

Canadian director Atom Egoyan is a master of relationship films and this one works very well. Definitely an erotic thriller, it is a remake of the French film “Nathalie” which starred Fanny Ardant and Gerard Depardieu.
