Dark Mirror

The presence of evil forces should be required in the disclosure statement when purchasing real estate. Had it been so, we may never have been told the haunting tale of Deborah Martin (Lisa Vidal) who sees horrible visions of an alternate universe, or flashes of her own insanity, lurking behind mirrors.
In an effort to get back into her photography career, Lisa soon discovers that her photographs are more than just standard images. The most striking quality of her work is that those whom she captures with her lens die and their grotesque images lie deep in the mirrors of her home. Insanity or the supernatural? Either way, Lisa’s world is bathed in evil.
Filmed in 2007, this indy horror offering from IFC has proved it self among aficionados of the genre and has amassed quite a following. The DVD release has hit the ground running. The convincing performance of Lisa Vidal (ER; Star Trek) adds much depth to the role of Lisa and her struggle to understand what is happening to her. Director Pablo Protenza manages bring out pure hysteria so notable in this film of dark terror.
