Earth (G) (2009)

When I read that reviewer Peter Hammond at Hollywood.com said that earth was, “Better than March of the Penguins,” I knew that I had to run, not walk, to the video store to pick up a copy.
What began with doubt and sarcasm on my part soon turned into awe as I quickly found myself under the spell of this Disney nature feature. Knowing that Mother Nature’s extravaganzas always trump manmade effects and that the Disney filmmakers Alastair Fothergill (The Blue Planet) and Mark Linfield (Planet Earth) are topnotch, I should have suspected that it would blow me away. Be prepared for an epic adventure as three animal families (polar bears, humpback whales and elephants) journey across the planet with their tales narrated by the master voice of James Earl Jones. Stunning!
