Who Are Your Attracting?
by Fran Taylor

Whether you are aware of it or not, you are attracting people to you. It might be unintentional, or you might be looking for someone special—a new friend, a business partner, or perhaps even a life partner. You may have even created a list of the qualities you’re looking for in a life partner, but will making a list and wishing for the right person actually attract the right person? And what does “right person” actually mean?

I have heard many of my single friends talk about the qualities of the people they wish to meet. Many of them have actually made a list of the qualities they want in a life partner. They list qualities such as being funny, interesting, wealthy, self confident, smart, charming, focused, generous, romantic, having great hobbies, loves family life, likes to cook, etc. The first thing that enters my mind about my friend is this—does she, herself, possess those qualities?

Whomever it is you wish to attract into your life, I believe the best first step you can take is to possess the qualities of the type of person you wish to meet. For example, if you want to attract someone who is financially stable, ask yourself if you are financially stable. If you want to attract someone who is physically fit, are you physically fit? If you don’t believe me, look at the people you’ve been meeting. Are they the people you say you want to meet?

It is true that opposites sometimes attract, but the point here is that if you want to attract someone stable, you must be stable. If you want unconditional love and acceptance, you must offer unconditional love and acceptance.

So start with a list of the qualities you are looking for in a person. Then, one by one, ask yourself if you possess those qualities. It might be that you have some work to do. But if you stay focused you will soon become the interesting person you wish to attract. And best of all, you’ll become more of the person YOU want to be.
