A thrilling drama with plenty of uneasy social overtones, this new release is promising to do very well as a rental. Early on, our attention is directed to Abel Turner (Samuel L. Jackson), a middle-aged cop with very definite ideas about right and wrong, especially when racial issues are looming. When those issues move right next door to his family, he goes into high gear to set things the way he perceives as straight.
    Too bad that the nice young couple (Kerry Washington and Patrick Wilson) next door have to become the victims of Abel’s passive aggressive, and, later, overtly aggressive actions, but such is the plot. If you enjoyed Pacific Heights, chances are you will like Lakeview Terrace. They have a lot in common. Did someone say “home invasion?”
