A monthly publication distributed in print throughout St. Louis and with a focus on personal growth and positive community awareness, our mission is to provide a positive message for our readers, our advertisers and our neighbors, and to highlight the individuals and organizations that are making a positive difference. Talent and local treasures, art and entertainment, we offer stories the whole family can enjoy. Sense of humor — we've got it! You won’t finish reading without a chuckle or two.
Our Mission
To share all that St. Louis has to offer — connecting readers with advertisers in a fundamental yet positive way; encouraging personal growth; strengthening the community through communication, compassion and common purpose. We intend to put the fun back in fundamental. Join us as we highlight all that makes St. Louis feel like home.
Our Story
After spending the summer of 2005 on a horse ranch in Arkansas, cut off from radio and television, Marian Rein and her son returned to their home in St. Louis, once again exposed to the influences of local and national media. She decided to start a paper — one that would provide a more positive look at the city in which she lives. What started as a small coffee shop paper grew to a full-color paper in 2007. Now, Java Journal is distributed and read throughout St. Louis.
